Our garage barely fits anything more than our cars and that makes the storage situation difficult. I've already added shelves up high to capitalize on the very high ceiling but anything stored up there is difficult to access. That's when I started looking around more and found an empty, unused corner!
It's the perfect spot for our seasonal decorations. I decided to put up shelves that would fit my existing bins because stacking them would make access difficult. The space is exactly the right size for them so it just made sense. I have plenty of scrap wood so this was really fun to put together. I started by cutting all of the pieces I needed.
Then it was just an assembly line of work. Once each frame was built, I attached it to the visible studs and found one more behind the drywall. I topped all of the frames with leftover pieces of various types of wood.
Then I put a bin on the shelf to measure for where the next frame could go.
This project was quick, easy and free. That's my favorite type of project!
